GASODUCTO BAJANORTE, S. DE R.L. DE C.V. is the company responsible for the operation of the 186 miles (300 kilometers) of 30 and 42-inch transmission pipeline.

The main pipeline is a 30-inch in diameter pipe capable of transporting 500 million cubic feet of gas per day begins with the interconnection with El Paso Natural Gas Co. near Ehrenberg, Arizona, crosses the border at Los Algodones, B.C., and ends at the interconnection with Transportadora de Gas Natural de Baja California (TGN), south of Tijuana.

The LNG Spur is a 42-inch system (LNG Spur) capable of transporting 2,900 million cubic feet of gas per day that begins at Energia Costa Azul LNG Terminal noth of Ensenada, B.C., and ends with the interconnection with the GB Mainline in the zone of El Carrizo south of the Tecate B.C. city.

Additionally, to complement this system there is a compressor station located in the town of Algodones B.C. , with two units, 15,000 horsepower each.

The pipeline company is a subsidiary of Sempra Energy Mexico S.A. de C.V., which has invested $2 billion in various projects in Mexico that involve energy distribution, transportation, storage, commercialization of natural gas, as well as generation of energy.
